In 2024, ESCAP worked closely with the Regional Steering Group for CRVS in Asia and the Pacific to develop the questionnaire for the 2025 review of progress in implementing the Regional Action Framework on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific. Members and Associate Members of ESCAP were asked to submit questionnaires and provide updates on their progress toward meeting their nationally-set targets in accordance with the Regional Action Framework on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific.  The questionnaire was sent to National CRVS Focal Points in June 2024. The CRVS focal points were responsible for collecting the necessary information and reporting back to ESCAP.

To help countries complete their questionnaires, ESCAP organised webinars and provided guidance on this website. If countries have any more questions about their reporting, they could also reach out to escap-crvs@un.org.

Similar to the baseline, regional synthesis report and midterm, regional synthesis report, ESCAP used the information collected to produce the 2025 report on progress to measure progress in implementing the Regional Action Framework. The report celebrated the CRVS achievements in the region, as well as highlighted existing challenges for a potential extension of the Decade.

The 2025 report on progress also guided the preparations for the Third Ministerial Conference on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific, which was held from 24 to 26 June 2025.
